SOCIAL CHANGE CAMPAIGNING
Founder of Deaf Options, Sarla was personally involved in the campaign to bring British Sign Language (BSL) to the curriculum of schools in England, Scotland and Wales. Having been part of the campaign and finally getting the opportunity to meet the Mayor of London when the fantastic news was released that from 2025, schools in England, Scotland and Wales will offer BSL as part of the curriculum was very well celebrated. Sarla is always offering her time to community projects and outreach work to further the idea of 'social change'. Being aware is a start but having the empathy and passion to drive change is another.
